《SCOPE》 is a platform for discovering and connecting visual arts in Jung-gu, Seoul. 《SCOPE》 helps visual arts, especially the spaces, organizers, artists, designers, and photographers that are the components of an exhibition, to easily "discover" and "connect" with each other. Through the dot art expression method, the 《SCOPE》 alphabet is represented by the process of sharpening. This is reminiscent of the experience of having an eye exam and seeing blurred images clearly, and represents the "discovery" function of SCOPE. The PI of 《SCOPE》, a set of dots, represents the various forms of the scope community. The difference in density of the dots creates a variety of shapes, from loosely gathered, comfortably maintaining their own distance, to "connected" and forming a single mass with strong cohesion. The two posters with the motif of "vision test" are reminiscent of the "red roof image on the meadow in the eye examination machine" and "vision test board" respectively. The posters are intended to evoke the experience of sharpening and clarifying vision during an eye examination and to help people understand the meaning of the scope in a natural way. The elements used throughout the poster and social media images directly or indirectly symbolize the keywords "combine" and "observe".
한국 사진의 새로운 미래와 가능성을 제시하는 전시 《KT&G SKOPF 올해의 작가전》를 표현하기위해 사진기의 “플래시(Flash)”를 모티프로 아이디어를 전개해 디자인했다. 순간적인 섬광을 발생시켜 촬영장면을 밝히는 플래시(flash)를 신진작가를 발굴, 지원하는 《SKOPF》의 취지와 연관지어 비주얼 아이덴티티로 발전시켰고, 이를 일차원적 요소인 ‘원’으로 표현했다. 겹쳐진 두개의 원은 수용자의 관점에 따라 ‘빛’, ‘조명’, ‘렌즈’ 등 다양하게 해석될 수 있다. 레이아웃 너머로 작품이미지를 배치하면 작품이미지가 스포트라이트를 받는 것처럼 보여지며, 이는 매년 새로운 작가를 소개하는 《SKOPF》를 암시한다.
한국사진을 위해 끊임없이 노력해온 고은 사진미술관과 KT&G상상마당의 ‘꾸준함’, ‘진정성’을 표현하기 위해 신뢰감을 주며 단정한 형태의 폰트를 사용하고, 정교한 선형 타이포그래피를 활용했다.
